Tatsuro Murakami is a Japanese guitarist, composer, writer, and translator.

Murakami's composition has a unique sound style which is a mix of Japanese minimal and the influence of Brazilian chord progression and melody, making use of electric and classic guitar, electric piano, synthesizer, and analog theremin.

His music has been related to other kinds of expressions, such as video-arts, art installations, poems, and literature.

Since 2014 Murakami resides in Brazil to establish his career as an artist, and to accomplish his research about the roots of Brazilian popular music on 7-string classical guitar.
